Tintbionic® GELMA 80

GELMA 80 (methacrylated gelatin) is a versatile structural biomaterial used in 3D bioprinting. The precursor is selected pharmaceutical-grade porcine gelatin with a hardness index of 300° Bloom from a certified facility (PL). The presence of methacryloyl groups allows the material to be crosslinked under UV/Vis light in the presence of a photoinitiator such as LAP. The degree of methacrylation of the material influences its mechanical properties. GELMA 80 is a suitable base for formulations with other methacrylates. The degree of methacrylation is determined based on 1H NMR analysis.
