Piotr received his master’s and doctor’s degree in biological sciences at the Faculty of Biology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. His doctoral dissertation focused mainly on molecular biology. He has worked with alternative splicing, transcription and disturbances of these processes in myotonic dystrophy. During his academic career at the Department of Gene Expression he gained knowledge and skills in the field of stem cells and mastered many laboratory techniques, among others: RT-PCR, qPCR, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, Co-IP, EMSA, CRISPR/CAS9.During his master's studies he participated in a research project within the framework of the TEAM FNP grant. He is a regular participant and speaker at national and international conferences. In 2018-2019, he was a biotechnologist at the Foundation of Research and Science Development in the implementation of the “3D Bionic Pancreas” project, where he dealt mainly with issues related to molecular biology and genetic modifications. At Polbionica, as a stem cell specialist, he carries out tasks such as developing and implementing the genetic modification process, implementing new technologies and solutions in the field of molecular biology, conducting and supervision of cell culture, carrying out molecular analyses.
