Pawel completed his master's degree in biotechnology at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW and has the title of paramedic. He then conducted research at the University of Giessen, Germany, where he received a doctoral degree in human biology. His doctoral dissertation focused mainly on molecular mechanism of ventilator-induced acute kidney injury. He is a lecturer at University of Medical Science in Białystok, where he conducts classes with students of biotechnology in the field of bioinformatics and pre-clinical and clinical research. Between 2011 and 2014 he occupied the position of biologist in the Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine, where he participated in the project involving the clinical implementation of new molecular and biochemical methodologies for accurate diagnostics of thalassemias and hemoglobinopathies. He was the coordinator of the national and international project. Between 2014 and 2019 he occupied the position of senior scientist in immunology/inflammation and lung diseases in Celon Pharma, where he participated in the project PIKCel - drug candidate development in the field of lung disease, especially asthma and COPD. In 2019, he worked for the Foundation of Research and Science Development on the “3D Bionic Pancreas” project At Polbionica, as a bioethics specialist, he performs tasks related to legal regulations in scientific projects, guidelines of bioethics committees, legal and technical requirements necessary to conduct clinical trials, as well as contact and coordination of the company's cooperation with relevant institutions in the area mentioned above.
