CycloTintbionic® GELCM

GELCM (coumarin derivative of gelatin) is a specially designed and synthesized compound in our laboratory for use in 3D printing. The precursor is selected pharmaceutical-grade porcine gelatin with a hardness index of 300° Bloom from a certified facility (PL). Functionalizing the gelatin chain with a coumarin derivative enables the material to crosslink under UV-Vis light without the need for a photoinitiator, thus minimizing potential cytotoxicity. GELCM represents an innovative solution for advanced applications in 3D printing, offering the precision and safety that professionals expect. The degree of substitution is determined based on 1H NMR analysis.
